IIFS Vision

IIFS will be a self-sustaining internationally known centre of excellence in inter-disciplinary education, research and development for food safety and security. 

 IIFS Mission

The mission of IIFS is to develop human resources and deliver services through a collaborative and integrated approach to addressing food safety and food sacurity challenges in Bangladesh.

 IIFS Objectives

The key objectives and activities of the institute under these shared vision and mission may be specified (but not confined to) as follows:

• • To offer accredited BSc, MS, and PhD programs in food safety, food quality, and food security.
• • To undertake and promote inter- and multidisciplinary research in food safety, nutrition, public health, and agriculture for sustainable food systems.
• • To strengthen collaboration among BAU, BFSA, BSTI, government agencies, and international partners to advance food safety and food security.
• • To provide consultancy and advisory services in agriculture, food safety management, and agri-food systems.
• • To offer laboratory testing and analytical services for food safety and quality assurance in support of research, regulation, and industry compliance.
